The CHARD Photo Workshop

As a photographer, attending workshops and classes is always a great way to learn new techniques, get inspired, and meet other like-minded individuals in the industry. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a 2-day photo workshop hosted by Rich Lander of CHARD Photo. Check him out at: www.chardphoto.com.

When I arrived at the workshop, Rich started off the day by sharing some of his expert tips and tricks for taking stunning photos at Quail Hill, a location I shoot frequently for engagements and family sessions. He emphasized the importance of finding the right light, composition, and capturing the moment. Everyone in attendance was immediately impressed by the beautiful location.

Throughout the shoot, we had the opportunity to practice what we learned by taking photos of different models in various poses and settings. It was great to see how everyone’s photos turned out differently, despite being given the same instructions. It just goes to show the importance of finding your own unique style and vision as a photographer.

One of the highlights of the workshop for me was the one-on-one time with Rich. He was incredibly approachable and happy to answer any questions I had about his process. His wealth of knowledge and experience in the field was truly impressive, and I feel like I learned so much from him.

Day two was much of the same. The location changed to a small private shore in the southern part of Laguna Beach. With golden sand and crystal clear water, it was the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the photo workshop hosted by Rich Lander of CHARD Photo. I would highly recommend attending one of his workshops to any photographer looking to improve their skills and learn from a master. I left the workshop feeling inspired and motivated to continue learning and growing as a photographer.
